Peregrine falcons at Northwind

Peregrine falcons at Northwind October 2014: We have a family of falcons nesting on our roof top. The evidence is seen on the ground every day with bits of lorikeets and other birds lying around the BBQ area and the pool. These are gruesome reminders that falcons are great hunters and live off other creatures. The juvenile somehow found its way to one of our gardens and spent quite some time looking around and preening itself. It did not appear to worried by people walking past and allowed them to get close. A couple of hours after the photos and video...

October newsletter

October newsletter 2014 September has been  very busy here at Northwind. A shelter has been built over the BBQ and outdoor tables and is proving a hit with holiday makers. No more dealing with pesky umbrellas!  We also had the last of the old archway removed from the main entry and a new sign put in place at the front. The sign has caused some discussion as it is markedly different from other signage around town. Manager Andrew had a wonderful experience when he went out with the Sunreef team to swim with the whales. The group of whales they...

September Newsletter

Northwind Apartments September Newsletter 2014. Spring is here! We had such  a busy August with the exterior of Northwind being painted and the sail structures over the windows being removed. The abseilers had a big job removing the sails, repairing render and then painting, while the two ‘earth-bound’ painters dealt to the balconies and block walls around the perimeter. The building really looks very smart and revitalized. We have kept the same colours, so our familiar white, grey and purple still stand out as you go along Mooloolaba Esplanade. Mooloolaba has some unique dining experiences to offer visitors. One of...
